Mens Section

Petersfield Golf Club’s Men’s section is a friendly and welcoming environment in which to play golf, whatever your ability and experience.

The Men’s Captain is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the section and operates through a series of delegated responsibilities.

  • Competitions are run at the weekends, with Medals and Stablefords alternating between Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate todays work / life style commitments.
  • Throughout the season, the Men’s section plays a number matches against other local clubs, and it is a great opportunity to socialize and play a round at other clubs as well as hosting visiting teams to Petersfield.
  • The Men’s section also take part in a number of county and national competitions, including the Gales League, County Sevens, Mail on Sunday, Gales over 50s knockout, and the Kindred Cup.
  • As you would expect, the Gents invitation to the Ladies is always a highlight, and a closely fought match, not to be missed! as well as many other Club mixed competitions and matches.
  • During the winter we run a Winter League team event as well as a Winter Foursomes competition. The summer sees the very popular Tuesday Thrash, a role up, open to all members, which is run early evening over ten holes. Good fun and very sociable.
  • There is also a members roll up on a Tuesday morning from 11:00am

So, there is plenty to enjoy and get involved with.  On joining, the Men’s Captain will be delighted to meet with you and help you to get to know the set up, so that you will quickly feel comfortable and able to join in whatever you wish to.
