Pink Ribbon Trophy
Petersfield Ladies have been raising money for Breast Cancer for 30 years, honouring all those who have lost their lives, survived or are living with breast cancer.
A trophy donated in memory of Nikki Hogan was played for during these 30 years. Nikki, a Saturday player, lost her life at a very young age and is fondly remembered.
Saturday 6th September was the inaugural event to play for a new trophy - The Pink Ribbon Trophy. This trophy has been donated by Ian Mitchell and his family in memory of Rona Mitchell who lost her life to cancer in 2023. Rona was a great golfer, a good friend and she is much missed.
The trophy was won by Lesley Eaton who made a lovely speech when she accepted the trophy from Ian.
The Pink Ribbon Trophy is a silver quaich (which is a Scottish cup of friendship). It is fitting to play for a trophy that represents friendship which is what the ladies’ section is all about.
Over the years more than £20k has been raised and on Saturday 6 September 2025 we raised £1117. Thank you to everyone and in particular to Paul Vangrove and Gordon Scott who sold raffle tickets to everyone who came into the club throughout the day. There were some lovely raffle prizes including a pair of pink fluffy slippers which was won by a gentleman!
